NAFB/AGMC HOLDS 4TH REUNION SOUTH

As has been the practice since closure, this years 4th annual reunion, for those former employees now living South, was held over the long Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 9-11). This years site was directly on the beach at beautiful Cocoa Beach. The facilities were ideally located adjacent to the Cocoa Beach Pier and just a few miles from the Kennedy Space Center Spaceport USA.

Accommodations were lovely and smack dab on the beach at the tropical oceanfront Days Inn. Beside great conversation with friends from former NAFB the planned activities included golf Saturday and Sunday, the usual front row video seats at Ohio State football as well as daily beach combing.

Approximately 70 former Center employees turned out for this 4th year festivities. Col. Tom Lawton, the former first Center Commander, who resides in the area, was paid a visit and was acquainted with the reunion efforts now underway for all former employees. Although Col. Lawton would have liked to arrange a visit with the entire group, as a result of a stroke a few years ago he was unable to do so.

An organization meeting was held on Saturday evening in the hospitality room which was provided by Days Inn throughout the event. During the meeting it was decided that next year's 5th reunion would be held at Fort Walton Beach which is located in the Florida Panhandle again over the Columbus Day weekend.

Bobbie Humphrey who worked for many years at NAFB Civilian Personnel will plan and host next years Reunion.
