| The Third Reunion is now history. No rain and a perfect
day for old friends to rekindle "ole war stories".
Approximately 60 people attended this year and was thoroughly enjoyed by
all.
Plans are already underway for next year's NAFB 40th Anniversary Celebration
with the cooperation of the City of Heath. Stay tuned.

at NAFB. |

|
Speaking of the "old days."
Paul Busche, Bill Sisco, Floyd Duncan, and Dave White had a lot of
memories to share. These four were among the first people hired for the
"Heath Annex" back in June and July of 1961 when a work force
was first being formed at the former Gentile Air Force Depot in Dayton.
Before coming to Heath/Newark the four went to the "State of the
Arts" training which was taught at Gentile buy Philco Ford, was at
Wright Patterson, attended factory training, and then reported to the
"Heath Annex." Yep, they had a bunch of memories to share. |
Everyone was asked to sign in and put on a
name tag. It was strange how you recognized a familiar face but then
needed a little help with the name. Everyone had seen Freda Harris
(left) working in the cafeteria but not everyone knew her name. Earl
Browning is pictured on the right. He worked in Metrology as a Master
Sergeant and then as a civilian |
|
Sherwood Conner, Ken Alpeter, and Marge
Kenser enjoy a chance to talk to old friends and coworkers. |
Terry Kincaid’s son-in-law (left) listens

at Newark Air Force Base. |

afternoon at the reunion. |
